IAATE membership is available to avian professionals, educators, and enthusiasts around the world — and we want cost to be a barrier to no one. The International Sliding Scale Membership adjusts annual dues based on your country of residence, recognizing that economic conditions vary widely from place to place.
Whether you’re drawn to Professional, Supporting, Early Career, or Lifetime Membership, the Sliding Scale lets you enroll at the rate appropriate for your region — with the same rights, privileges, and benefits as every other member at that level.
How it Works
Find your country. Your rate is determined by IAATE’s approved regional pricing schedule, which groups countries into four pricing tiers based on economic conditions.
Choose your membership level. Select the category that fits you: Professional, Supporting, Early Career, or Lifetime.
Apply below. Submit the application form with your country and desired membership level. We’ll confirm your rate and send you a discount code to use at checkout.
Once you have your code, you’ll check out on the standard membership page for your chosen category — just enter the code to apply your regional rate.
What's Included
International Sliding Scale members receive the exact same rights, privileges, and benefits as their standard membership category. The only differences are:
- Your annual rate, adjusted for your country of residence
- Digital-only delivery of The Flyer, IAATE’s newsletter — all international memberships, regardless of category, receive the digital edition only

Rates are grouped into four regions based on IAATE’s approved International Sliding Scale, which the Board reviews periodically to ensure the program stays both equitable and sustainable.
