Robyn Miller, Director of Auburn University Raptor Center, Auburn, AL, USA
Robyn’s professional journey began with a PhD in literature, but her passion for wildlife and teaching led her to a career working with birds of prey. During her tenure at American Eagle Foundation, she played a key role in advancing education and conservation programs and contributing to the development of their new facility. Now, as the Director of Auburn University Raptor Center (AURC), Robyn oversees the center’s education and rehabilitation programs, working to strengthen conservation research efforts and interdepartmental collaboration with the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, AURC’s home unit. Her boundless love for birds (and all things outdoors) has spilled over into her free time through her hobbies as a falconer and naturalist. If she can’t be outside, she rebels against the walls and windows by filling her space with sundry houseplants.
In addition to her board appointment, she also contributes to IAATE’s Education and Marketing Committees. Robyn is honored to serve as a general board member for IAATE, which allows her to give back to a community that has shaped her both professionally and personally.
